Memorable And wonderful Trip To Mysore
Recently we had a great and memorable trip to Mysore. This place is situated in fertile fields and it is the capital of Wodeyar rulers. As soon as we stepped inside the place, there were many beauties to be seen. We started with the historical monument’s visit. The first one in this series was Maharaja’s Palace or Amba Vilas Palace. This is situated in the heart of city Mysore. It took almost 2-3 hours to visit the place and look out for it. You can find some of the best guides who could help you understand each detail with the palace. When we asked one guide, he had been very helpful and he even helped us with our son who wanted to be guided by him. We were asked to remove our footwear similar to one action we do when we come to a temple.
We further went to temples section. Ranganathswamy temple, which is said to be one of the marvels of South India, is famous for its architectural beauty. It is cited as an example of Vijayanagar and Hoysala schools of architecture. Another temple we went in to was Chamundeshwari temple. It is a temple that is dedicated to goddess chamundeshwari. It is almost 3 kms in south east of Mysore. You can see great picturesque view of the surrounding environment. Apart from the temples, you also have At Philomena’s church. This is an old 18th century monument. This is cited as an example of Neo Gothic architecture. There are many things that we visited in later part of day. There are many museums. You can visit the famous museums of chamarajendra art gallery. This is in Jagmohan palace that was built in 1902. There is interesting collection of antique furniture, musical instruments, ceramics and every other thing. There is splendid collection of paintings and especially by those of Raja Ravi Verma. Another great museum is Manasa Gangotri. It is inside the campus of Mysore University. There are two most visited sites and that includes Oriental research Institute and Folklore Museum. It includes all household objects along with wooden chariots and other things.
Next day we also went to nature’s trial and that included garden and hills. It includes Brindavan gardens and Chamundi hills. Brindavan Hills is situated in north of Mysore city. There are fountains that are illuminated by multi colored lights. This is also said to be one of the most sought after destination in Mysore. It looks like a fairyland in evening. When we visited this place, we tried to capture its beauty in evening. Chamundi hills are one such place that is considered to be a victory of good over evil. All these spots can be easily covered by your transportation.
We had a very entertaining and enjoying Mysore trip. Even you can get the most of this place. You can take help from a guide who could help you. You can manage to take photographs wherever there is no restriction. Surely, it was a memorable trip for us and we enjoyed a lot in Mysore.
Enjoying religious place may not be something that every one of us wants. So this place is great for everyone who wants to see historical places along with religious temple. I would give this place a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
